Course Outline
This qualification provides the farmer with the essential knowledge and hand-on practice to learn the basics of plant nursery production, understand basic husbandry practices for vegetables and fruits, and identify and explain basic farm machinery/implements, their usage and maintenance.

No pre-requisites are needed to enroll in this course.
Upon successfully completing the course, the graduates are expected to develop skills and knowledge to:
- Explain advantages of protected nursery, procedure to sterilize nursery soil, estimating germination percent and aftercare.
- Explain basic husbandry practices, enlisting common vegetable and fruit varieties, pests and diseases, weeds and their control measures
- Enlist basic farm machinery used in tillage and cultivation, its usage and maintenance
